A free scan is analyzed and then dropped. Your photo is never written to disk or a database. Premium progress tracking saves a photo only after you turn it on yourself, and you can delete everything from your portal whenever you want.
Free scans: your photo is not saved
When you run a free scan, your photo travels to our server, gets read by the AI, and produces your results card. That is the end of it. The photo is held in memory only for the seconds it takes to read it, and it is never written to disk or stored in a database. When the read finishes, the image is gone. Your results card even tells you: "Your photo was not saved."
We built it this way on purpose. A grooming tool has no business keeping a library of men's faces.
Premium progress tracking: stored only if you say so
Premium progress tracking is the one place a photo can be kept, and only because keeping it is the point: it lets you watch dark marks fade over the weeks by lining your scans up side by side. Even then, nothing is saved until you turn on progress tracking yourself with a clear checkbox. That is your consent, and it is plain-English, not buried.
You can revoke that consent any time. Turn progress tracking off and new scans stop being stored. There is a delete-all button in your portal that wipes every stored photo you have. When you press it, they are gone from our storage.
What your account stores
If you make an account, we keep a small set of information so the site works:
- Your email address and first name
- The text of your scan results (the written read, so you can look back at it)
- Your subscription status, whether you are on the free tier or Premium
Stored progress photos are added to that list only if you opted in, as described above.
The companies we work with
A few trusted services help EvenHue run. Each one sees only the piece it needs.
- Anthropic reads your photo and writes your scan. Your image is sent to their AI for that single analysis. It is not used to train their models, and EvenHue does not retain it after the read.
- Stripe handles all payments. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us. We never see or store your full card number.
- Resend sends account emails like password resets and receipts.
- MailerLite handles marketing emails if you sign up for our list. You can unsubscribe from any of those emails.
Cookies and the usual basics
We use the minimum needed to keep you signed in and to keep the free-scan limits fair (a hashed version of your IP so anonymous scans can be counted without knowing who you are). We do not sell your data. Full stop.
Your choices
- Delete your stored progress photos any time from your portal.
- Turn progress tracking off so new photos stop being stored.
- Email us to delete your account and everything tied to it.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any of them.
